COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />�h" NsY�d <br />RESOLUTION NO. 343 23 <br />RESOLUTION CREATING ONE (1) NEW ASSISTANT <br />CONTROLLER POSITION FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br />FINANCE <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Finance is in need of an Assistant <br />Controller position to provide support in their Accounts Division, and <br />WHEREAS, this position is necessary to execute additional work and <br />responsibilities that the department has been tasked with; and <br />WHEREAS, the Assistant Controller will assist with the implementation <br />of new Governmental Accounting Standards Board statements, additional <br />ERS requirements, and the implementation of the County of HawaiTs new <br />ERP system, among other duties, and <br />WHEREAS, the position indicated above is one (1) Assistant <br />Controller, EM -05; and <br />WHEREAS, Article V, Section 5-1.3(c) of the Hawai'i County Charter <br />states that the Mayor has the power to "Create positions... for which <br />appropriations have been made by the council..."; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAN <br />that one (1) Assistant Controller, EM -05, position be created in the <br />Department of Finance. <br />
