�i.:/. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I : •��� ' �• `STATE OF HAWAI I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 369 23 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE OFFICE OF HOUSING AND <br /> COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO AWARD FUNDS TO VARIOUS <br /> NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS FOR PROGRAMS ADDRESSING <br /> HOUSING AND HOMELESSNESS <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii <br /> County Code (2016 Edition as amended) states, Grant awards in excess of$25,000 <br /> to nonprofit organizations shall specifically identify the organization receiving the <br /> grant funds and the purpose for which the grant funds shall be used in an ordinance <br /> or resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-136(5) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code states, "nonprofit organization" means an organization organized for other than <br /> profit-making purposes and which has a current 501(c)3 tax-exemption from the <br /> Internal Revenue Code; and <br /> WHEREAS, the organizations specified in "Exhibit A", which correspondingly <br /> qualify as a nonprofit organizations as defined above, will provide initiatives and <br /> programs addressing housing and homelessness; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD) <br /> wishes to provide a total of$9,794,459.33 to these organizations as outlined in <br /> "Exhibit A"; now, therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, in <br /> accordance with Chapter 2, Article 25, Section 2-139(a)(3)(A) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code, the OHCD is authorized to provide grants totaling of$9,794,459.33 to various <br />
