BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The County of Hawaii was projected to receive an FY 2023 Homeland Security Grant(HSGP) award by the <br /> State of Hawaii for$700,000.00. Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency recently signed the Grant Articles and <br /> Special Conditions and was awarded $780,000.00 by the State of Hawaii, Department of Defense, Office of <br /> Homeland Security(OHS). The FY23 grant will support the following investment areas of, Enhancing <br /> Community Preparedness and Resilience, Law Enforcement Evidence Storage and Warehousing, Law <br /> Enforcement Personnel Response Vehicle, and Civil Defense Emergency Response Vehicles.
