REQUEST: <br />DATE: 11 /22/23 <br />PHONE: 808-961-8368 <br />A Resolution authorizing the County (through the Department of Research and Development), in accordance <br />with HRS §46-7, to engage in an agreement with the Office of Planning and Sustainable Development <br />(OPSD) to form the Hawaii Statewide Economic Development District ("HISEDD") for an indefinite period, <br />starting from the date of the last signature on the Hawaii Statewide Economic Development District <br />Partnership Agreement. This agreement does not involve specific payments or financial exchanges, nor <br />does it intend for either party to incur financial obligations. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The purpose of this agreement is to establish the HISEDD to facilitate statewide coordination and <br />collaboration in economic development.
