REQUEST: <br /> Amend Ordinance 23-50 by appropriating the following: <br /> The Office of Housing and Community Development is requesting the appropriation of$5,000,000 to the <br /> Housing Choice Voucher Program (Account Number 152.3301.54). This amount represents a 21.5% <br /> additional increase in revenues received from the US Department of Housing and Urban Development <br /> (HUD) to be used for Housing Assistance Payment subsidies, and is to cover the expenditures account <br /> number 152.461.5466.30.371, Voucher rental subsidies. <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> On February 15; 2023 , OHCD was notified by HUD of an increase in appropriation of 21.5%which reflects <br /> the updated allocation to be received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the <br /> Housing Choice Voucher HCV (Section 8 program). The$5,000,000 is to be used for payment of rental <br /> assistance for eligible participants in the program.
