•,4o;NYv`Os N,�7i <br /> L vdi <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII =:',=' '��• STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 389 2'Li <br /> A RESOLUTION TO AMEND THE RULES OF PROCEDURE AND ORGANIZATION <br /> OF THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII BY AMENDING RULE NO. 23, <br /> BILLS AND RESOLUTIONS. <br /> WHEREAS, the Rules of Procedure and Organization of the Council of the County of <br /> Hawai`i ("the Rules") govern the affairs of the Council of the County of Hawai`i ("Council"); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Rules were duly adopted as provided in Resolution No. 4-22 during the <br /> initial convening of the Council on December 5, 2022; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council seeks to improve the way it conducts its meetings by repealing <br /> Rule No. 23, Item No. 1(d), relating to the automatic postponement of bills and resolutions <br /> amended at final reading, and renumbering any subsequent item(s) as required; the proposed <br /> amendment is illustrated below in Ramseyer format (material to be deleted is bracketed and <br /> stricken): <br /> "Rd) A bill or resolution up for final reading that is amended on the floor shall not be <br /> shall not apply to: <br /> (1) The annual budget bill, pursuant to Article X of the Hawai`i County Charter; <br /> and <br /> (2) The correction of manifest clerical or typographical errors in numbering, <br /> that the correction does not alter the meaning or effect of the underlying bill <br /> or resolution.]" <br /> ; now, therefore, <br />
