Jet�F{`,�•e• COUNTY OF HAWAI`I l.(A.,—�-.f' ,rF STATE OF HAWAI`I OF• F4 RESOLUTION NO. 397 241' A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE DANIEL R. SAYRE MEMORIAL FOUNDATION TO PURCHASE FIREFIGHTER CHAIRS AND A TELEVISION FOR THE HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT'S KAILUA FIRE STATION IN WEST HAWAII. WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide fire, emergency, rescue equipment and supplies, or funding to purchase fire, emergency, rescue equipment and supplies,to the Hawai`i Fire Department; and WHEREAS, the Hawai`i Fire Department has identified the need for Firefighter Chairs, a Captain's Chair, and a television at its Kailua Fire Station in West Hawai`i to provide an appropriate environment that improves the holistic wellbeing of the members of the department to ensure our community receives the best possible service; and WHEREAS, the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation is requesting funds to purchase eight Firefighter Chairs, a Captain's Chair, and a television for the Hawai`i Fire Department's Kailua Fire Station in West Hawai`i; and WHEREAS, the Hawai`i Fire Department mission is to provide execptional, all hazards emergency services to the residents of and visitors to Hawai`i Island; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Hawai`i Fire Department to provide a grant to the Daniel R. Sayre Memorial Foundation to purchase Firefighter Chairs, a Captain's Chair, and a television for the Hawai`i Fire Department's Kailua Fire Station in West Hawai`i. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
