COUNTY OF HAWAI'I •_ ` fit STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> ... ..... <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 404 21 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br /> DONATION OF A SHADE CLOTH TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br /> DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION. <br /> WHEREAS, Kona Aquatics is donating a shade cloth to the County of Hawai`i <br /> Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS,this donation, valued at approximately $39,000, will be installed at the <br /> Kona Community Aquatics Center; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, , in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,the County of <br /> Hawai`i, accepts this donation. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br /> resolution be sent to Kona Aquatics, PO Box 2901, Kailua Kona, HI 96745, acknowledging <br /> this generous donation. <br />
