tPJr��Gs \li'•. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 418 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR MULTI-YEAR LEASES FOR TWO (2) TRAILER MOUNTED <br /> PUMPS AND ONE (1) PORTABLE PUMP FOR THE DEPARTMENT <br /> OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi-year leases for <br /> five (5) years, for two (2) trailer mounted portable pumps with 4" discharge and <br /> one (1) portable pump with 10" discharge; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of <br /> Environmental Management's Wastewater Division to perform routine <br /> maintenance as well as serve as backup units for facilities island wide should any <br /> stationary pumps fail; and <br /> WHEREAS, the acquisition of this equipment is in line with the Department of <br /> Environmental Management's Emergency Response Plan; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases <br /> for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of <br /> Environmental Management. <br />
