.... . <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII ••� �• STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> • 44 CF•Nl�-• <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 419 24 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br /> LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br /> FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE FOR TWO (2) GRAPPLE TRUCKS <br /> FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br /> lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br /> later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into a multi-year lease for <br /> five (5) years, for two (2) grapple trucks; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be utilized by the Department of <br /> Environmental Management's Solid Waste Division and is needed to move scrap <br /> metals, old appliances and other bulky items from the various transfer stations to <br /> scrap metal facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, the addition of these trucks will enable the Solid Waste Division <br /> to keep up with increased services and ensure continued compliance with the <br /> rules and regulations of the State Department of Health; now therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII: <br /> 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a five (5) year <br /> lease for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of <br /> Environmental Management. <br />
