. . , <br /> ::.?!7:*... <br /> (--- <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :°, �'''° ' t •i STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 424 24 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR VARIOUS `IKE PONO INTERSESSION <br /> PROGRAMS IN THE HAMAKUA-NORTH/SOUTH HILO DISTRICT. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division,provides <br /> diversified recreational programs and activities for various age groups that address the needs and <br /> interests of the respective communities in a safe environment at County recreational facilities; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Recreation Division conducts intersession programs throughout the year <br /> in the Hamakua-North/South Hilo district for keiki from kindergarten to sixth grade; and <br /> WHEREAS, the `Ike Pono intersession programs will include a variety of activities such <br /> as `aina-place-based education, arts-and-crafts projects, music,technological opportunities, and <br /> other activities that work to build and create an innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, <br /> the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) emphasis for the youth; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for music, <br /> technological, and arts-and-crafts supplies for its various `Ike Pono intersession programs in the <br /> Hamakua-North/South Hilo district; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation for its various `Ike Pono intersession programs in the Hamakua- <br /> North/South Hilo district; and <br />
