The Planning Department finds these exemptions to be reasonable as they would <br />allow construction of the affordable housing project. However, it should be noted that one <br />requested exemption, from Section 25-5-157, does not appear to apply to the subject property as <br />it was intended to apply to parcels zoned General Industrial (MG). <br />Given the extreme need for affordable rental housing stock in the North Kona area, we support <br />the project and have no objection to the applicant's proposed exemptions. <br />We appreciate the opportunity to provide comments.
