STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> •1•.••:•FE OF• �'�- <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 446 24 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION OF <br /> ORCHIDS TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION. <br /> WHEREAS, Quintal Farms is donating orchids to the County of Hawai`i Department <br /> of Parks and Recreation; and <br /> WHEREAS,these orchids,valued at approximately $30,000, will be planted around <br /> the Pana`ewa Rainforest Zoo and Garden by the Orchid Society; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter, provides that the <br /> council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br /> personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br /> donation; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, in <br /> accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12 of the Hawai`i County Charter,the County of <br /> Hawai`i, accepts this donation. <br /> I <br />
