He was born in <br /> Honolulu and graduated from Roosevelt High School. From 1994 to 2001,he worked at Pahoa <br /> High School in various roles before becoming the founding Principal of the Hawai`i Academy of <br /> Arts and Sciences Public Charter School in 2001. <br /> In addition to his professional career, Steve has also volunteered his time and expertise to various <br /> county organizations, including the Board of Appeals, Public Access, Open Space and Natural <br /> Resources Preservation Commission, and the Water Board.
