REPORT OF THE <br /> COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENTAL <br /> OPERATIONS AND EXTERNAL AFFAIRS <br /> DATE: March 5, 2024 Re: Comm.No. 754/Res.No. 449-24 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:30 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Governmental Operations and External Affairs, to which was referred <br /> Resolution No. 449-24 reports as follows: <br /> Resolution No. 449-24, transmitted by Council Member Heather L. Kimball and Council <br /> Member Matt Kaneali'i-Kleinfelder via Communication No. 754, dated February 21, 2024 <br /> demonstrates the Aloha Spirit and fosters peace, diplomacy, and unity within the County of <br /> Hawai`i, the State of Hawai`i, and beyond. <br /> This resolution seeks to promote peace, diplomacy, and civil discourse and to demonstrate <br /> globally the values of understanding, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence with Aloha and to <br /> observe the United Nations' International Day for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation <br /> Awareness. <br /> Member Jennifer L.
