REQUEST: <br />Requesting approval for a resolution authorizing the Mayor to enter into an intergovernmental lease <br />agreement with the State of Hawaii Department of Defense Hawaii Emergency Management Agency, to <br />support and facilitate the installation and maintenance of a warning siren in the Waikoloa area. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION USE ADDITIONAL, SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency desires to enter into a license agreement with the State of Hawaii <br />Department of Defense's Hawaii Emergency Management Agency which would support and facilitate the <br />installation and maintenance of a warning siren within the County of Hawaii Kamakva Nui Park to serve the <br />Kamakva Phase 1-A Subdivision region in the Waikoloa area. This siren would serve a gap area that <br />currently does not hear a siren for emergency management purposed.
