Communication (01/08/2024) from Council Chair Mel Rapozo, Kaua`i County <br /> Council, requesting agenda time to discuss possible collective action by HSAC <br /> urging the Hawai`i State legislature to expressly authorize counties to amortize <br /> non conforming single-family transient vacation rentals (TVRs), for example in <br /> keeping with the enclosed proposed resolution anticipated to appear on the <br /> January 18,2024 Council Meeting agenda of the Kaua`i County Council. <br /> CM Raozo:Review of the request which will be coming up at the legislature this year. Discussion <br /> on how counties have the authority and asking for others to share in support of this. As HSAC <br /> adds to the package, hope this can be considered. Kauai has over 400 non conforming TVRs not <br /> on the books. Visitor Destination Areas-are the only areas that allow TVR, nowhere else. <br /> General discussion on TVR regulation and how each county differs in there areas and what is <br /> non conforming. <br /> Received. <br /> f. Honolulu City Council Resolution No. 23-301 RELATING TO <br /> APPOINTMENTS TO THE HAWAI`I STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES <br /> EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, which was approved by the City and County of <br /> Honolulu on December 6,2023. <br />
