REPORT OF THE <br /> LEGISLATIVE APPROVALS AND ACQUISITIONS COMMITTEE <br /> DATE: April 30, 2024 Re: Comm.No. 818/Bill No. 151 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 9:01 a.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Legislative Approvals and Acquisitions,to which was referred Bill No. 151, reports <br /> as follows: <br /> Bill No. 151, transmitted by Mayor Mitchell D. Roth, via Communication No. 818, dated <br /> March 19, 2024, amends Ordinance Nos. 00-90 and 91-27, which reclassified lands from Open (0) <br /> to Village Commercial (CV-10) at Keahuolu,North Kona, Hawai`i, covered by Tax Map <br /> Key: 7-4-015:015 (portion) (Applicant: Lili`uokalani Trust) (Area: 0.874 acre). <br /> The Leeward Planning Commission forwards its favorable recommendation for the applicant's <br /> request to delete Condition B (time to submit and secure Final Plan Approval), Condition C (time to <br /> commence construction), Condition D (Eho Street improvements), Condition F (Eho Street/Queen <br /> Ka`ahumanu Highway intersection improvements), and Condition K(Administrative Time <br /> Extension). The property is located along the makai side of Queen Ka`ahumanu Highway between <br /> Eho Street and the Kona Coast Shopping Center. <br /> Planning Director Zendo Kern and Land Planning Manager for Lili`uokalani Trust representative <br /> Bryan Esmeralda were in attendance.
