This appropriation reflects funding <br /> allocations received from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations for the <br /> Program-Year(PY) 2023. <br /> The Department of Research and Development indicates that the funds will be utilized to <br /> assist adults, dislocated workers and youth by providing services that will train <br /> individuals to increase employment, retention, earnings, skills and literacy. <br /> The Department of Research and Development is requesting that this resolution and bill <br /> be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the July 10, 2024 Council <br /> agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
