Kimball, Council Chair <br />Iq Council District 1 <br />SUBJECT: Proposed Amendment to Bill No. 122; An Ordinance Amending Chapter <br />25 and Chapter 14, Article 4, Section 14-20, of the Hawaii County Code <br />1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Relating to the Repeal of Bed and <br />Breakfast as a Permitted Use. <br />Transmitted herewith is a proposed amendment to Bill No. 122. The proposed amendment is <br />shown below in Ramseyer format with respect to the contents of Bill No. 122; material to be <br />deleted is bracketed and stricken, and material to be added is underscored. <br />Bill No. 122 is amended by adding a new section to be appropriately inserted and to read as <br />follows: <br />"SECTION 8. This ordinance shall not affect or impair any use permit or special nerinit <br />duly issued prior to the effective date of this ordinance, which uses permitted thereby shall be <br />considered a legal use of the affected parcel and mqy continue tooperate for so long as the <br />conditions of the use permit or special permit and other reauirements as may be movided by <br />eneral law are met." <br />SECTIONS 8, 9, and 10 of Bill No. 122 are renumbered as SECTIONS 9, 10, and 11, <br />respectively. <br />Due to the limited scope of this proposed amendment, a copy of the new draft of this bill <br />that would result if the proposed amendment were adopted is not attached. <br />HK:dbk <br />Comm. 71 D <br />Hmvai `i County is an Equal Opportunity Provider and Employer Ref.
