WHEREAS, the Ku'ikahi Mediation Center Inc. is requesting funds to cover <br /> professional fees and travel and hotel accommodations for the basic mediation trainer traveling <br /> from Maui; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney supports identifying areas of need <br /> within the community and working collaboratively with nonprofits to address these needs and <br /> implement solutions; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 will be appropriated to the Office of the <br /> Prosecuting Attorney to provide a grant to the Ku'ikahi Mediation Center Inc. to assist with <br /> expenses relating to its Basic Mediation Training for Volunteer Recruitment and Retention. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $5,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $5,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.271.5271.02 Office of the Prosecuting Attorney $5,000 <br /> Prosecuting Atty OCE <br /> 115 Misc. Contract Services <br /> (Ku'ikahi Mediation Center Inc. —Basic <br /> Mediation Training for Volunteer Recruitment <br /> and Retention) <br /> 2 <br />
