Kierkiewicz via Communication <br /> No. 962, dated July 19, 2024, amends Chapter 24, Article 10, Division 5, Section 24-280, <br /> Schedule 28 of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as Amended),Relating to No <br /> parking at Anytime. <br /> This bill prohibits parking alongside two portions of Kalapana-Kapoho Beach Road from(1) a <br /> point 320 feet southwest of Pohoiki Road and extending 165 feet in the southwesterly direction; <br /> and(2) 693 feet southwest of Pohoiki Road and extending 241 feet in the southwesterly <br /> direction. <br /> Committee Member Kierkiewicz acknowledged this amendment is being proposed due to <br /> community concerns about enforcement of no parking areas. She acknowledged the work of the <br /> Department of Public Works, Traffic Division, who made the assessment and installed the signs. <br /> Your Policy Committee on Infrastructure and Assets is in accord with the purpose and intent of <br /> .
