RESOLUTION NO. 594 24 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE WREATHS FOR THE WEST HAWAI`I VETERANS CEMETERY-PU`U HO`OMAHA 0 NA POT KOA 0 HAWAI`I KOMOHANA FOR THE NATIONAL WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA DAY. WHEREAS, the mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember the fallen, honor those that serve, and teach the value of freedom by coordinating the laying of wreaths at veterans cemeteries across the United States on December 14, 2024; and WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase wreaths for the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery-Pu`u Ho`omaha 0 Na Po`e Koa 0 Hawai`i Komohana("West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery") for the National Wreaths Across America Day; and WHEREAS, cadets of the Hawai`i Wing Civil Air Patrol, Kona Composite Squadron, will lay the wreaths upon each grave at the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery for the National Wreaths Across America Day; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks and Recreation to purchase wreaths for the West Hawai`i Veterans Cemetery for the National Wreaths Across America Day on December 14, 2024. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNT OF APPROPRIATION: $4,000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $4,000 CREDITED TO: 010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $4,000 P&R Admin OCE 115 Misc. Contract Services (National Wreaths Across America Day)
