Kimball <br />And Members of the County Council <br />County of Hawai'i <br />Hilo, HI 96720 <br />Aloha Council Chair Kimball and Council Members: <br />I am pleased to nominate Douglas Umemoto of District 1 to the Hamakua Community <br />Development Plan Action Committee. <br />Douglas is a proud graduate of Kailua High School and furthered his education at Orange Coast <br />Junior College and Honolulu Community College, where he earned a degree in blueprinting. For <br />the past 22 years, he has been a licensed contractor and the owner and President of Jack's Tile <br />and Stone. Douglas has called Hawaii home for the past 57 years. <br />In addition to his professional achievements, Douglas is deeply committed to giving back to the <br />community. He volunteers with Ho`olanapua and is an active member of the Pepe`ekeo Gardens <br />Association. His dedication to these organizations reflects his strong desire to make a positive <br />impact on Hawaii Island.
