COUNTY OF HAWAVI STATE OF HAWAIJ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 62.5 Z4 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PURCHASE WREATHS FOR THE WEST <br />HAWAFI VETERANS CEMETERY-PU'U HO'OMAHA 0 NA PO'E KOA 0 HAWAFI <br />KOMOHANA FOR THE NATIONAL WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA DAY. <br />WHEREAS, the mission of Wreaths Across America is to remember the fallen, honor <br />those that serve, and teach the value of freedom by coordinating the laying of wreaths at veterans <br />cemeteries across the United States; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase <br />wreaths for the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery-Pu'u Ho'ornaha 0 Na Po'e Koa 0 Hawai'i <br />Komohana ("West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery") for the National Wreaths Across America Day <br />on December 14, 2024; and <br />WHEREAS, cadets of the Hawaii Wing Civil Air Patrol, Kona Composite Squadron, <br />will lay the wreaths upon each grave at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery for the National <br />Wreaths Across America Day; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation to purchase wreaths for the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery for the <br />National Wreaths Across America Day on December 14, 2024. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC - Contingency Relief <br />WINNO-Iff 0-110"s <br />010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation <br />P&R Admin OCE <br />115 Misc.
