REQUEST. <br />To enter into a three year service agreement for Centrex Biz Plus service with Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. for the <br />new Joint Emergency Communications Center located at 540 Kupuna Place, Hilo, HI 96720. <br />B. BA GROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED) <br />To enhance emergency communications in the County of Hawaii as we establish a new joint <br />communications center located at 540 Kupuna Place in Hilo. This facility will support both the Hawaii Police <br />Department's and Hawaii Fire Department's Emergency Communication Division, improving coordination <br />and response during emergencies for the Island of Hawaii. <br />Estimated total cost for HPD: $22,875.00 and Estimated total cost for HFD: $11,730.00 <br />Justification for a 3-Year Agreement with Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. is to ensure continous, uninterrupted <br />communication services, crucial for emergency operations. This service provides access to the latest <br />telecommunication technology, essential for effective emergency management. The service offers financial <br />stability with fixed rates and potential discounts. <br />Service will foster a strong relationship with tailored solutions and proactive support for both HPD & HFD. <br />The 3-Year Agreement with Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. is vital for reliable, advanced, and cost-effective <br />emergency communication services.
