(Auth: HRS $453-52) <br /> 10 "Licensed Midwife"means a person licensed under this chapter. <br /> 11 "Midwife Preceptor"means a licensed midwife, licensed maternal health professional, or <br /> 12 preceptor registered with a Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC) school, who <br /> 13 participates in the clinical education of individuals who are enrolled in a MEAC education <br /> 14 program,Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education(ACME) education program or <br /> 15 directly working under a North American Registry of Midwives (NARM)Registered Preceptor <br /> 16 to acquire their Portfolio Evaluation Process requirements (PEP). <br /> 17 "Midwifery"means skilled, knowledgeable and compassionate care for childbearing women <br /> 18 Ipeoplel,newborn infants and families across the continuum from prenatal,pregnancy,birth, <br /> 19 postpartum and the early weeks of life, as defined by the World Health Organization. <br /> 20 "Midwifery bridge certificate" is a certificate issued by North American Registry of Midwives <br /> 21 (NARM) to a Certified Professional Midwife who obtained certification through the Portfolio <br /> 22 Evaluation Process,upon the successful completion of additional accredited education <br /> 23 (minimum of 50 hours) in specific subjects as required by NARM.
