G57 24 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> RECREATION WITH EXPENSES FOR VARIOUS SPECIAL PROJECTS AND <br /> EVENTS HELD ON HAWAII ISLAND. <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation provides and facilitates a wide <br /> variety of services to meet the needs of the community while maintaining the cultural uniqueness <br /> of our rich heritage,'diversity, and the aloha spirit; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation supports various special projects <br /> and events in our community to share, preserve, perpetuate, and foster the appreciation of our <br /> rich multi-cultural heritage in the arts, history, and humanities, such as the Merrie Monarch <br /> Festival, KWXX Ho`olaule`a, Ironman World Championship, etc.; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds for expenses to <br /> support and enhance the various special projects and events in our community that will be held in <br /> fiscal year 2024-2025; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Parks and Recreation to assist with expenses for various special projects and events held on <br /> Hawai`i Island. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $38,070 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $38,070 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $38,070 <br /> P&R Admin OCE <br /> 115 Misc.
