COUNTY OF HAWAVI STATE OF HAWAII RESOLUTION NO. 6-81 24 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE NORTH KOHALA COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER FOR EXPENSES RELATING TO THE NORTH KOHALA STUDENT CULTURAL ENRICHMENT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is a 5 01 (c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide local support, funding, and education for successful projects that benefit the community of North Kohala; and WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center proudly sponsors the North Kohala Student Cultural Enrichment Program, which provides elementary, middle, and high school students with art supplies, books, and educational materials, as well as transportation and admission to events and locations that provide cultural enrichment for students; and WHEREAS, the North Kohala Community Resource Center is requesting funding to provide students with transportation and admission to various cultural events, sites, and activities; and WHEREAS, the Department of Liquor Control supports youth programs that provide educational opportunities in a drug- and alcohol -free environment, such as the North Kohala Student Cultural Enrichment Program; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code, Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAIJ that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the North Kohala Community Resource Center for expenses relating to the North Kohala Student Cultural Enrichment Program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
