I of one <br />hundred twenty months as <br />long as their <br />tenure does not <br />2 exceed <br />thirty-five total years <br />Enrollment in <br />the deferred <br />3 retirement Option program <br />will cease <br />ifanenrollee is unable to <br />4 continue as an active <br />police officer <br />forlonger than twenty <br />5 working days excluding <br />vacation days . <br />Deferred retirement option <br />6 program enrollees do <br />not pay into the <br />retirement system. <br />7 Deferred retirement option program enrollees accrue sick and <br />8 vacation leave credits. Vacation leave credits will be paid into <br />9 the enrollee's deferred retirement _option _program account upon <br />10 termination from the program. Sick leave credits will not be <br />11 paid upon termination and will not count toward any retirement <br />12 payments. Deferred retirement option participants will receive <br />13 healthcare benefits as retirees Upon participation in deferred <br />14 retirement option program the member is deemed a retiree of the <br />15 pension fund deferred retirementption program participants <br />16 will not receive a disability benefit from the pension plan <br />17 since then are already retired No additional service credit <br />IS will accrue. Deferred retirement option program enrollees are <br />19 not eligible for deferred compensation. <br />20 (+f-*1(9) The board shall adopt any rules as may be required <br />21 to administer this section." <br />
