COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />RESOLUTION NO. 69G 24 <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A <br />DONATION OF A PAL2 PORTABLE AQUATIC LIFT TO THE <br />COUNTY OF HAWAIJ DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION. <br />WHEREAS, Johnette Schenk is donating a used PAL2 portable aquatic lift to the <br />County of Hawaii Department of Parks and Recreation; and <br />WHEREAS, this donation, valued at approximately $4,500, will be installed at the <br />Kona Community Aquatics Center and utilized by those with disabilities and/or have <br />difficulties entering and exiting a County swimming pool by standard methods; and <br />WHEREAS, Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, provides that the <br />council, on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of money, securities, or other <br />personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation recommends the acceptance of this <br />donation; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I,, in <br />accordance with Article X111, Section 13-12 of the Hawaii County Charter, the County of <br />Hawaii, accepts this donation. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a letter of appreciation and a copy of this <br />resolution be sent to Johnette Schenk, 73-1216 Onehanau Place, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740, <br />acknowledging this generous donation. <br />
