Additional federal funds in the amount of $193,277.96 are being provided by <br />the Office of National Drug Control Policy to combat the drug problem in the County of <br />Hawaii. <br />Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br />additional funds into the Police Department's HI Impact Grant account, bringing the total <br />appropriation to $668,27796. <br />The Police Department requests that this bill be waived by the Finance Committee and be <br />placed on the November 8, 2024 Council agenda in order to expedite receipt of funds.
