The grant is funded from the <br />High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program. <br />Request to waive Finance Committee to start the procurement before Purchasing deadlines. The additional <br />funding will be used to purchase a vehicle to be used in operations to investigate drug related cases. <br />B, BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP) is providing additional funds under the HIDTA Program <br />to combat the drug problem in the County of Hawaii.
