COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION NO. '32 25 <br />• 1 0 of MIAM <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT OF THE ATTORNEY <br />GENERAL, HAWAVI CRIMINAL JUSTICE DATA CENTER PURSUANT <br />TO HRS 46-7, FOR A GRANT TO THE HAWAVI COUNTY POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT <br />WHEREAS, the Hawaii County Police Department wishes for the County to <br />enter into an agreement between the Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii <br />Criminal Justice Data Center and the County of Hawaii; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii Criminal Justice <br />Data Center has authorized funds through the National Instant Criminal Background <br />Check Act Record Improvement Program to be provided to the Hawaii County Police <br />Department for the purpose of enhancing the department's Records Section to improve <br />accuracy, quality, timeliness, immediate accessibility, and integration of national <br />systems of criminal history and related records; and <br />WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that county <br />departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the federal <br />or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the powers <br />granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other assistance in <br />connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those powers; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII, that in <br />accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the County of <br />Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement and related <br />
