Darrow ("Mr. Darrow") as Director for the County of Hawaii Planning Department,pursuant to Section 6-7.2 of the Hawaii County Charter. This appointment was effective at 12:00 noon on Monday, December 2, 2024. Mr. Darrow started working for the County of Hawaii in 1998 as a Zoning Inspector with the Planning Department. Through the years that followed, he was a dedicated and hard- working employee who earned numerous promotions. In 2021, he was appointed as the Deputy Planning Director of the Planning Department. Prior to this role, he served as a Police Officer with the County of Hawaii Police Department. Mr. Darrow will serve a term co-terminus with my tenure, which will end on December 4, 2028. Pursuant to Rule 5(6)(a) of the Rules of Procedures and Organization of the Council of the County of Hawaii, I respectfully request that this nomination be placed on the next available Committee meeting.
