No. 70/Bill No. 14 <br />Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 14, reports as follows: <br />Bill No. 14, transmitted by Finance Director Diane Nakagawa via Communication <br />No. 70, dated December 18, 2024, amends Ordinance No. 24-32, as amended, the Operating Budget <br />for the County of Hawaii for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. <br />This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants — Housing Trust Fund Grant account ($137,592); <br />and appropriates the same to the Housing Trust Fund Projects account ($130,351) and Housing Trust <br />Fund Administration account ($7,241), for a total appropriation of $2,987,592. Funds would be used <br />to produce affordable housing through the acquisition, new construction, reconstruction, and/or <br />rehabilitation of non -luxury housing with suitable amenities. <br />Housing Administrator Kehaulani Costa provided background on this measure. <br />Committee Member Jenn Kagiwada asked what these funds would be used for.
