J�tV Oi M,�1 COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAI`I QF RESOLUTION NO. 11-2 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO MAKAHANALOA FISHING ASSOCIATION FOR ITS ALOHA `AINA PROJECT. WHEREAS, Makahanaloa Fishing Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to grow and protect fishing community rights to provide food for families and maintain the generational bond with treasured shoreline areas; and WHEREAS, Makahanaloa Fishing Association is requesting funds for project supplies, including fuel, gas and oil for weedwhackers, soil, pots, shade cloth, and small tools for planting native species, labor fee for mowing and chipping areas, participator shoreline kilo (observation) notebooks and videographer fee for documentation and educational purposes, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of public health and welfare of the people and the environment, and the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Makahanaloa Fishing Association for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AIT1011:11T OF APPROPRIATION:$. iii OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $6,000 1,19"03111111103 010.500.5503.02 Dept of Parks and Recreation $6,000 P&R Admin OCE 115 Misc.
