COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br />TE'OF•Hp4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1:13 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br />RECREATION'S SUMMER FUN PROGRAMS IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 1. <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Recreation Division, provides <br />diversified recreational programs and activities for all age groups that address the needs and <br />interests of the respective communities in a safe environment at County recreational facilities; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Recreation Division conducts summer fun programs in the districts of <br />Hamdkua, Hilo, Puna, Ka`u, Kona, and Kohala in the months of June and July; and <br />WHEREAS, the Summer Fun programs include a variety of activities such as sports, <br />arts -and -crafts projects, music, technological opportunities, and other activities that work to build <br />and create an active and innovative Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics <br />(STEAM) emphasis for the youth; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase <br />folding tables and chairs, dry erase whiteboards, adjustable easels, steel utility pull carts, two <br />LED smart TVs and supportive mobile equipment, laminator and laminator pouches, weather - <br />resistant storage bins and totes, basketballs, volleyballs, and soccer balls for its Summer Fun <br />programs in Council District 1; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation for its Summer Fun programs in Council District 1. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
