COUNTY OF HAWAVI STATE OF HAWAIJ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1-14 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HAMAKUA HEALTH <br />CENTER, INC., FOR THE 2025 HONOKA'A WESTERN WEEK FESTIVAL. <br />WHEREAS, Hdmdkua Health Center, Inc. (HHC), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br />that serves Hawaii Island by providing accessible, affordable, quality health care and <br />educational services with an emphasis on individual and community wellness; and <br />WHEREAS, HHC is partnering with the Honokaa Business Association to organize the <br />2025 Honoka'a Western Week festival, which is a celebration of paniolo culture that fosters a <br />true sense of community, tradition, and pride; and <br />WHEREAS, HHC is requesting funds for public outreach, and the following equipment <br />rentals: audio visual sound system, lighting, stage, tents, portable toilets, and trash dumpsters; <br />and <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI'I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District I are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to Hdmdkua Health Center, Inc. for the <br />expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNTOF <br />APPROPRIATION: $5,01 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $5,000 <br />CREDITED TO: <br />010,500.5503.02 Department of Parks and Recreation $5,000 <br />P&R Admin OCE <br />115 Misc.
