J�TY OF h��1 COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I 1TE GF•M►� RESOLUTION NO. 1:15 25 A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ALOHA ANIMAL ALLIANCE FOR ITS CAT MANAGEMENT PILOT PROGRAM. WHEREAS, Aloha Animal Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to improve animal welfare through community -driven solutions that reduce shelter intake, increase access to care, and empower practical, proactive, humane, and sustainable approaches to managing companion animals while protecting native wildlife; and WHEREAS, Aloha Animal Alliance is requesting funds for cat tracker software development, front end web build, web plugin-apps, caretaker certificate courses and badges, and office equipment to include landline and mobile phones, which will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of public health and welfare of the people and the environment, and the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical or emotional disabilities; and BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the Animal Control and Protection Agency to provide a grant to Aloha Animal Alliance, Incorporated for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: FUND: General AMOUNTOF APPROPRIATION: 1000 OUT AND FROM: 010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief 010.239.5239.01 Animal Control and Protection Agency Animal Control 115 Misc.
