J�TY OF h��1 <br />COUNTY OF HAWAI`I STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />1TE GF•M►� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1:15 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO ALOHA ANIMAL <br />ALLIANCE FOR ITS CAT MANAGEMENT PILOT PROGRAM. <br />WHEREAS, Aloha Animal Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to <br />improve animal welfare through community -driven solutions that reduce shelter intake, increase <br />access to care, and empower practical, proactive, humane, and sustainable approaches to <br />managing companion animals while protecting native wildlife; and <br />WHEREAS, Aloha Animal Alliance is requesting funds for cat tracker software <br />development, front end web build, web plugin-apps, caretaker certificate courses and badges, and <br />office equipment to include landline and mobile phones, which will serve a public purpose by <br />benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of public health and welfare of the people and <br />the environment, and the needs of the poor, youth, the aged, and those with physical or emotional <br />disabilities; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 are hereby transferred to the <br />Animal Control and Protection Agency to provide a grant to Aloha Animal Alliance, <br />Incorporated for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNTOF <br />APPROPRIATION: 1000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />010.239.5239.01 Animal Control and Protection Agency <br />Animal Control <br />115 Misc.
