They compete in canoe races <br />held in various coastal areas. The acquisition of a koa outrigger canoe thru a Waiwai Grant will enable paddlers <br />of Hoemana to compete in either regatta or long-distance races wherever these are held on the oe island of <br />Hawaii and on other islands. <br />8.
