COUNTY OF HAWAI`I <br />STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A <br />LATER FISCAL YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR <br />FOR MULTI -YEAR LEASES FOR SEVEN (7) MULTI -FUNCTION <br />COPY MACHINES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the County Charter requires that any contract, <br />lease or other obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriations of a <br />later fiscal year or of more than one fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii wishes to enter into multi -year leases for <br />five (5) years, for seven (7) multifunction color copy machines for the Department <br />of Public Works; and <br />WHEREAS, these copiers will be utilized by the Department of Public Works <br />Highway Maintenance Division base yards island wide; and <br />WHEREAS, the leases for the current copiers have expired; now therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I: <br />1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into five (5) year leases <br />for the equipment as indicated above, for the Department of Public <br />Works. <br />2. That sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to cover the <br />anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the <br />agreement. <br />
