COUNTY OF FIAWAPI <br />�JNSV OF <br />\'illy, <br />tl : MTMof •' <br />VT�'�F •H�,Vf� <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES RELATED TO THE <br />REMOVAL OF THREE PENCIL TREES OF THE MAKA`EO WALKING PATH AT <br />THE OLD KONA AIRPORT PARK. <br />WHEREAS, the Maka`eo Walking Path is a shared -use pathway approximately one mile <br />long that is located at the County's Old Kona Airport Park; and <br />WHEREAS, the Maka`eo Walking Path consists of two paved -asphalt loops, an exercise <br />pavilion, colorful gardens, an anchialine pond, and a north- and south -end lawn that are hosts to <br />weekly physical activities, lessons, and events for the community; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is working in partnership with <br />Friends for Fitness, a nonprofit organization that assists the County with maintaining the <br />Maka`eo Walking Path; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to assist with <br />expenses related to the removal of three pencil trees of the Maka` eo Walking Path; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that <br />Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Department of <br />Parks and Recreation for expenses related to the removal of three pencil trees from the Maka`eo <br />Walking Path. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii hereby <br />transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
