REQUEST: <br />This is a request to enter into an agreement with the Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) for an <br />awarded grant by the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in the amount of $270,000. <br />Please create an Ordinance to appropriate $270,000.00 for the period covering July 1, 2024 - June 30,2025. <br />B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br />The Mass Transit Agency will be receiving FTA Section 5304 funds to be used for the planning of the Pahoa <br />Transit Hub. The grant funds is to cover the consultant services and Project Administration, The consultant <br />will prepare a planning document with an enviromental assessment and 30% desgin.
