y6ih; <br />COUNTY OF HAWAT`I - STATE OF HAWAI`I <br />r• � <br />�rE oi•M►•� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 144 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO IKAIKAMAULOA <br />YOUTH FOUNDATION INC. TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR THE KONA GOLD <br />BOXING CLUB'S TEACH TO REACH INITIATIVE. <br />WHEREAS, Ikaikamauloa Youth Foundation Inc. (IYF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization that strives to provide youth with opportunities for engagement that focus on <br />resilience, empowerment, and health and wellness education at its Kona Gold Boxing Club in <br />Kailua-Kona; and <br />WHEREAS, IYF is requesting funds to assist with expenses for conditioning equipment, <br />punching shields, a professional fight and gym timer, resistance training supplies, speed and <br />agility training equipment, ab wheels, gloves, protective gear, tape, gauze, and punching bags, to <br />provide boxing and fitness training, increase self-confidence, discipline, and perseverance, which <br />will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and <br />the arts, educational concerns, needs of the poor, youth, the aged, those with physical or <br />emotional disabilities, public health and welfare of the people and the environment, victims of <br />crimes and victims of health or social crises; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to IYF for the expenses and purposes identified <br />in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the <br />following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMOUNT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $8,000 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc.
