ML.:. \Vz..% <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI I ; STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 177 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO HOMELESS TASK <br /> FORCE TO ASSIST WITH EXPENSES FOR ITS HOMELESS OUTREACH AND <br /> ENGAGEMENT PROJECT. <br /> WHEREAS,Homeless Task Force (HTF) is a 501(c)(3)nonprofit organization that is <br /> dedicated to decreasing the homeless count in West Hawai`i by providing individuals with a <br /> productive pathway back into the mainstream society through safe haven options of housing, <br /> drug and alcohol rehabilitation referrals, and return home to their families of origin; and <br /> WHEREAS, HTF is requesting funds to assist with expenses for food cards, clothing, <br /> hygiene kits, and taxi and ride-share fares to encourage unhoused individuals to move from the <br /> homeless lifestyle and transition into safe haven options to decrease the homeless count, which <br /> will serve a public purpose by benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of needs of the <br /> poor,youth, the aged, those with physical or emotional disabilities, and victims of health or <br /> social crises; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that, in <br /> accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br /> amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 are hereby transferred to the <br /> Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to HTF for the expenses and purposes identified <br /> in"Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the <br /> following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $9,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: ' <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $9,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $9,000 <br /> Public Programs <br /> 115 Misc.
