COUNTY OF HAWAI`I :'i+\`-''1=� / •1= STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 180 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII OFFICE OF <br /> RESEARCH SERVICES <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Research and Development wishes to enter <br /> into an agreement with the University of Hawaii, Office of Research Services; and <br /> WHEREAS, this agreement is to provide $14,805 to the University of <br /> Hawaii for the College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR); <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, these funds will allow CTAHR to support the development and <br /> implementation of the Master Food Volunteer Program in Hawaii County; and <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaii Revised Statutes, Section 46-7, requires that County <br /> departments obtain the consent of the council to enter into agreements with the <br /> federal or state governments respecting action to be taken pursuant to any of the <br /> powers granted by law to furnish, expend, and receive any funds or other <br /> assistance in connection with projects being or to be undertaken pursuant to those <br /> powers; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I, in <br /> accordance with section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that the Mayor of the <br /> County of Hawaii is authorized to execute, on behalf of the County, an agreement <br /> and related documents with the University of Hawaii, Office of Research Services <br /> to fund their proposal as indicated above. <br />
