.P,t 46i,:. <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAI'I zk- /1•1 STATE OF HAWAI`I <br /> 1TE'OF•Hp� <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 200 25 <br /> A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ALL DONATIONS THAT ARE NOT COVERED BY <br /> THE CAPITALIZATION PROCEDURES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND <br /> RECEIVED BY THE COUNTY DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2026. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 13-12 of the Charter of the County of Hawai`i (hereinafter"the <br /> Charter")provides that the Council"on behalf of the county, may accept gifts of donations of • <br /> money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in real estate"; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 2-162(b) of the Hawai`i County Code provides that a"gift or <br /> donation of money, securities, or personal property not covered by the capitalization procedures <br /> [of the Department of Finance] shall be submitted to the council by letter for its approval"; and <br /> WHEREAS, donations of commodities not covered by the capitalization procedures of <br /> the Department of Finance are made by various entities to the County throughout the year and <br /> are normally accepted by the Council of the County of Hawai`i (hereinafter"the Council") via <br /> letter during a duly noticed meeting of the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County and the public that uncapitalized <br /> donations to the County are accepted in an expeditious manner; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAI`I that all <br /> donations to the County that are made within the fiscal year ending June 30, 2026 and not <br /> covered by the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance are hereby deemed <br /> accepted by this body upon receipt of the donation by the County; provided that, at the end of <br /> each quarter, a report of all donations received under the terms of this resolution is submitted to <br /> the Council by the Director of Finance. <br />
