REQUEST: <br /> The Department of Public Works Highways Division is requesting a resolution authorizing the payment of <br /> funds of a later fiscal year and of more than one fiscal year for a multi-year lease of one (1) 10-ton pneumatic <br /> roller for the District of Kona. The lease to purchase would be for a period of no more than five (5) years. <br /> • <br /> B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): <br /> The 10-ton pneumatic roller will be used islandwide to assist DPW Highways personnel with construction, <br /> resurfacing, and maintenance projects. Currently, DPW Highways has two(2) 10-ton pneumatice rollers and <br /> with the many projects islandwide an additional 10-ton pneumatic roller will increase productivity and <br /> operations. <br /> This lease is for a period of no more than five(5) years. The purchase price is$191,884.74. The estimated <br /> lease cost is approximately$3,198.08 per month or$38,376.96 annually.
