COUNTY OF HAWAIJ <br />STATE OF HAWAIJ <br />RESOLUTION NO. 230 25 <br />A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br />AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br />DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HILO <br />DOWNTOWN IMPROVEMENT FOUNDATION FOR ITS 4TH OF DULY BLOCK <br />PARTY. <br />WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit <br />organization with a mission to financially support the activities and events of the Hilo Downtown <br />Improvement Association, whose goals are to protect, preserve, and create a vibrant downtown <br />Hilo for all to enjoy; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hilo Downtown Improvement Foundation is requesting funds for <br />expenses related to its 4th of July Block Party for portable toilet rental, insurance, and security <br />and traffic services provided by off -duty Police Officers, which will serve a public purpose by <br />benefiting, improving, or promoting the interests of culture and the arts, and the public health <br />and welfare of the people and the environment; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAYI that, in <br />accordance with section 2-139(a)(2)(C) of the Hawaii County Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as <br />amended), Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 are hereby transferred to the <br />Department of Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hilo Downtown Improvement <br />Foundation for the expenses and purposes identified in "Exhibit A," a copy of which is attached <br />hereto and incorporated herein by reference, in the following amount as set forth below: <br />FUND: General <br />AMO"CT OF <br />APPROPRIATION: $1,860 <br />OUT AND FROM: <br />010.101.5101.91 Clerk -Council SVC — Contingency Relief $1,860 <br />010.251.5251.39 Department of Liquor Control $1,860 <br />Public Programs <br />115 Misc. Contract Services <br />(Hilo Downtown Improvement Foundation — 4th of <br />July Block Party) <br />
